Frederic Cantin

Frederic has dedicated the last decade of his career in the area of building resource consumption and saving.  As the risk to human survival becomes increasingly clear as a result of climate change, Frederic has been involved with the development and growth of a number of start up companies that address the problems associated with climate change by implementing changes within buildings and the energy industry, which have the potential to slow global warming.  

 

Frederic’s most recent position as General Manager of Reset sees him championing the sustainability vision of the UAE’s leaders through a collaborative union between Alliances for Global Sustainability (AGS), and International Holding Company (IHC) subsidiary, IHC Utility.

 

Frederic was previously the Head of Sustainability Projects at Alliances for Global Sustainability.  He has experience working both in the private and semi government sectors.  His career in the UAE began with playing a pivotal role in the development and growth of what was at the time a small startup organization focusing on selling smart energy saving solutions, which is now owned by Engie, a multinational global entity. 

 

Frederic then joined Imdaad, a leading facility management organization in the UAE and helped them to set up and establish an energy saving branch of their business. It was during this time that Frederic’s interest in The Internet of Things for smart cities and infrastructure grew. He immersed himself in his role and during this time he furthered his education, skills and knowledge, becoming LEED Green Associate and ISO 50001 Energy Management System Implementer certified.
 

Frederic is passionate about the work he does. He combines very strong technical understanding of energy saving solutions, HVAC and BMS with a strong customer-focused approach, always searching for the best possible way in which to help his clients.
